How things move! Year 3 Incursion
On Wednesday the 13th of November the Year 3’s were extremely excited to be participating in an incursion looking at how things move. Greg and Rebecca from "Task Works" came in with a lot of different machines for us to play around with and investigate the forces used in order to make them move. We had a fantastic time taking a go cart apart to see how it works, and then we had to work out how to put it back together.  We played around with magnets and discussed how they work. We thank the parents who came in to help us.   [foogallery id="2810"]

Gratitude Wall- Student Wellbeing
Gratitude Wall At Emmaus, the children have been learning about gratitude and being thankful for all the wonderful things in their lives - family, friends, food, shelter, love, Lego and ballerinas. We have created a lovely Gratitude display on the staffroom window. Please come and have a look if you haven't already. It is scientifically proven that practising gratitude daily has many benefits - both mentally and physically. At some point in the day with the children, share three things you're grateful for.

Colour Run 2019
The students at Emmaus celebrated the end of Term 3 with a vibrant and exciting Colour Run.  Parents and Teachers were on hand to splash the children with powdered colour.  The event was organised by the Parents and Friends Group in order to raise money for the school and for our students to experience the fun of a Colour Run.  Thank you to the Parents and Friends Group,  the teachers, Emmaus parents and sponsors who made this such a wonderful end to Term 3. On Wednesday, August 21, Emmaus held its annual Book Week Parade!  The theme was "Reading is my Super Power."  All the children dressed up and had a fantastic time parading.  We even had a special visit from Clifford the Dog.  Congratulations to the children who won a prize in the Book Week Competition.  Many thanks to the Book Week Committee for organising the event and to the parents and families that helped the children to dress up and bought books at the Book Fair.
