Enquiries about Emmaus Catholic Primary School are most welcome. Choosing a school is an important decision for your family. We offer guided tours throughout the year, where the Principal and school leaders share key information about enrolment and our school. Tour dates are updated regularly across the year.. Meeting our students and staff, and seeing learning and teaching in action, is the best way to experience what makes Emmaus the right place for your child.

HOW TO ENROL
Enrolment enquiries are always welcome at Emmaus. We encourage families to submit their enrolment form by the end of April for their child to commence at Emmaus the next year. We endeavour to have enrolments finalised by mid year, however, if there are vacancies, all enrolments will be considered. Foundation Enrolments Children must turn 5 years of age before the 30th of April in the year they are commencing school. An Enrolment Application Form can be completed be completed online. Places at Emmaus are offered in accordance with the school’s Enrolment Policy. Families also sign an Enrolment Agreement as part of the process of joining our community. Prospective families are welcome to tour the school. Please book a tour at an upcoming Open day. Enrolments for other year levels are accepted throughout the year. When enrolment forms are received, a meeting time is booked with the Principal. This is a time to begin to get to know you and your family. Letters of offer are then sent. You can accept the offer by returning the signed letter along with a non-refundable deposit of $150.(This will be taken off your first fee payment). We will then let you know the dates for our transition program.

When should I enrol my child? We accept enrolments all year round and welcome new students throughout the year. For families wishing to enrol for Foundation (first year of school), we ask that enrolment forms are lodged by the end of April in the year preceding the year children are due to start. How old does my child need to be? Children must turn five by the 30th April of their first year of school. By law the minimum starting age for a child to be enrolled in a Victorian school is four years and eight months. What are your fees? Please click here for a breakdown of fees and levies. This includes all stationery, excursions and incursions. The only other costs would be uniform. Camp is also an additional cost for our senior students. How do I enrol? To make the process as simple as possible, we invite all prospective families to begin their journey via our Online Enrolment Portal. ​​Can I have a look around the school? We love to show families around our school. We host tours regularly. Please phone the school on 9390 4500 to book a spot. How do I pay the fees? Early in Term 1, statements of fees are issued to families. We have many payment options, including direct debit and EFT. We are flexible when parents pay (weekly, monthly quarterly etc) but ask that all fees are paid by the end of Term 3. We are not Catholic. Is that ok? At Emmaus Catholic Primary School, we warmly welcome families from a variety of faith backgrounds who are open to engaging in the Catholic life of our school. All students participate in Religious Education, prayer, liturgies and whole-school celebrations as part of our shared community experience. While only Catholic students receive the Sacraments, all children are included respectfully in the learning and preparation journey. Families who enrol at Emmaus choose our school because they value our Catholic identity, community spirit and commitment to nurturing the whole child. I am on a visa. Is that ok? Most Visa holders are eligible to attend our school, but please call the school to discuss your Visa type.

ENROLMENT IN OTHER YEAR LEVELS
Families are welcome to make an appointment to tour the school and meet with staff. Parents of new applicants are required to complete an Enrolment Application Form. For an application form to apply for a Full Fee Paying Overseas Student place, please contact the school on 9390 4500.

PREP TRANSITION PRORAM
A Foundation Transition program is held in Term 4. This includes: • Visits to Kindergartens by school staff • An Information Session for Parents • Orientation sessions for the students

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE
At Emmaus, we understand the importance of providing a safe, engaging, and convenient environment for students outside of regular school hours. Our Before and After School Care program is externally facilitated by Kelly Club, offering high-quality care right here on our school grounds. Programs are held in the School Hall, providing a familiar and spacious environment where students can relax, play, and socialize with their peers. Session Times • Before School Care: 7:00 am – 8:30 am • After School Care: 3:15 pm – 6:00 pm What to Expect The team at Kelly Club provides a variety of structured and unstructured activities designed to support student wellbeing, including: Healthy breakfast and afternoon snacks. Supervised homework time. Creative arts, crafts, and active outdoor play. A focus on building positive relationships and community spirit. How to Enrol Bookings can be made directly through the provider's online portal. Whether you require permanent care or occasional "casual" bookings, the team is ready to welcome your child into the program.

UNIFORM
At Emmaus, we take great pride in our school uniform as a symbol of our shared identity and belonging. Families can purchase new uniform items directly from Uniform Group Deer Park Unit 2, 51-53 Westwood Drive, Ravenhall, while our Second-Hand Uniform Shop offers high-quality, pre-loved items donated by our community to help raise vital funds for the school.
